Lou Gilbert is a native Missourian. He grew up in the small towns of Weaubleau and El Dorado Springs in the Western part of the State. According to his mom, Lou began singing at the early age of 3-4 years old, with his first song being “No Vacancy”. This slightly secular song tells a tale of there being no available rooms among the various hotels along life’s highway. Not concerning himself with those specific rooms, Lou has set his sights much higher toward the heavenly realms where there is "room" for everyone who believes in Jesus Christ and accepts Him as their personal savior. Lou is an elder at the First Christian Church of Rolla where he oversees the Music and Technical Arts Ministries. Lou and his wife, Susan, reside in Rolla, Mo where they have four children and six grandchildren. |

Steve Metge moved to Missouri from Iowa in 1987 with his wife, Deanne, and two sons. For as long as he can remember, music has been a part of his life. He was involved in various small singing groups and bands throughout his school days and married life. Just prior to moving, Steve sadly had to leave a mixed Christian quartet with which he had belonged for several years. It didn’t take long, however, for him become active in his new church’s ministry of music. In the mid 1990’s Andy Davis had mentioned something to Lou Gilbert, who said something to Steve, and before long the three of them were searching for a fourth voice to give them the 4-part harmony they wanted. Steve's goal as a member of the quartet is to become a better minister of the gospel in a musical way, by telling the story of Jesus via the harmonies of Southern Gospel Music. |
